University of Otago researcher, Dr Jude Ball was interviewed on RNZ's Midday Report 3 April about the dangers of oral tobacco and nicotine products.
Dr Ball says tobacco companies are already targeting young New Zealanders with illegal oral tobacco and nicotine products through advertising on TikTok and it is set to get worse if the Government legalises their sale.
Reforming the regulation of smokeless tobacco and oral nicotine products is part of National's coalition agreement with New Zealand First.
Dr Ball also spoke with Waatea News and 95bfm, and was interviewed on TVNZ's Breakfast on 9 April.
