Professor Nick Wilson told RNZ on 7 Feb there needs to be a comprehensive government-funded review into the impacts and responses of Cyclone Gabrielle. Professor Wilson was being interviewed about the Briefing, The Long Shadow of Cyclone Gabrielle: Brief Review at 12 months. The Briefing featured in a story in the Guardian. Professor Wilson also did interviews with Newstalk ZB, Mediaworks and Waatea News.
